I'm still surprised after all these years they still didn't implement CENTER, LEFT, and RIGHT text alignment and you still have to get an extension for it. It's only been 22 years since release.

I just went and made an art thread here in the off topic section and a nsfw art thread over in the nsfw section. If there's a bunch of people posting self med porn in the porn art thread that's getting buried by found hentai or whatever then we can make a separate third art thread for them.

I also just installed an extension that shows a list of the most recently active threads on the like main index page of the forum. To keep it from being bulky I've set it to only show the four most recent posts and disabled its paginator.

I'm usually going through and checking all the new posts that I haven't seen yet and I'm guessing some of you are doing the same, so it should save a click or two.

How about that old 'thumbs up' mod so you can tell someone you like their donut video (for instance) without cluttering the thread?

Sounds good. I'm definitely really a fan of discord etc letting you emoji react to posts and was thinking about it myself. I'm having trouble finding a good extension for it though (and I'm not really looking to learn how to write my own extensions)

Odd, just did a search and it looks like there aren't any good ones. But our old board had this feature from like 2007ish-spring 2020. wtf? It was like a little yellow thumbs up you could click, and it would leave a thumbs up icon in the bottom left corner of the post box with a list of people who liked it.

Just an update: I deleted all the spam threads, deleted all the users that had registered in the last day (none of them had posts other than those spam threads) (I think some of the users that had registered earlier than a day ago might be bots that are just waiting to post, but we'll see), and changed the registration captcha to a question (might change it to a different question later and I'm still looking for other ways to keep bots out).

can we have invite links? :3
"it" instead of "you" (e.g. "what is it up to?", instead of "what are you up to?"). HRT: FINALLY ;-;

You're definitely welcome (encouraged even) to link to the forum, but making the forum invite only (if that's what you mean) seems like a real last resort to me. I feel like that would kill any growth. Probably won't do that unless keeping bots out becomes impossible.

you could still be open (or even semi-open, like having to approve joins) but having an invite link that tracks who invited who sounds nice :p

The answer to the question should be VALIANT COMICS. Spammers don't know anything about Valiant Comics.

So what if, cause of the 78 style board, what if kate made an IRC chat in this style as well?

If spam bots hit again I'll make the next answer Valient :3

And I don't think the cheap shared hosting service I'm using supports IRC, but I guess there are probably free places to set one up that could be embedded into a page over here. I dunno. I might look into it later. I never really got too into using IRCs and was always curious to, but I don't know how active it would end up being
