I think for a long time it was difficult or impossible (?) to hide gameplay on Steam without setting up a dummy account tied to the original on Family share or whatever. But apparently, as of at least March there's been a setting that allows you to play stuff without broadcasting that you're permanently addicted to a digital waifu or whatever.

There are a few options there. I can finally play shitty hentai games without my few remaining friends getting a broadcast whenever I do lmao.

I am not ashamed! I wish there were better VR waifu games though, that didn't always make you a boy >.<

It's less that I'm ashamed than that I only have a few Steam friends who don't necessarily want to know if I'm playing waifu games and I've got slightly more people in Discord who probably also don't strictly need to know lmao.
I really wish they would allow you to selectively choose which games will send notifications. It seems like a simple enough feature to add too. Maybe I'll apply to Valve and add it myself lmao.
I had it turned off at first, but I actually do want people to know when I'm playing other games and I couldn't be assed to switch it on and off. Nobodies unfriended me over it yet
