planning to watch Something Must Break for the first time this week, and i'm really very much looking forward to it

ma vie en rose maybe should make the list? i haven't seen the whole movie, just clips, but i've been wanting to watch it, my understanding is that it's pretty good

oh no now i'm thinking "oh hey, we should organize watch parties for some of these". "parties" isn't the right word. film club?

editing to add the dang matrix cause the metaphor is so explicit, but i think we've probably all seen that one by now, surely
posting on a forum, being cute, god what do i even put in a signature it's been ever so long. oh! discord: Alli#8433

Wild Zero (1999)!

Although I haven't seen it in a while so I'm always concerned it won't hold up as well as I remember.

Here's a folder with some personal faves (including a bunch of the ones I listed off in that first post)

My archive.org account has full PAL DVD rips of Myra Breckinridge and Memory Run. Unfortunately they did not come with subtitles, but they are definitely better quality than anything I have found on the internet. Please feel free to update your mega folder with them.

I also have the Jackie Curtis/Holly Woodlawn/Candy Darling classic Women in Revolt uploaded. There's also Die, Mommie, Die! which is Charles Busch's loving and fairly sincere comedy tribute to the 1960s films of Bette Davis and Joan Crawford. It's not really a trans film, but he does perform the leading role in drag.

Thank you for introducing me to Myra, it's become one of my favourite films.

Thanks for sharing these higher quality files! [note to other users: If you download the H.264 files, it will give you a compressed version of the DVD's file. You need to download the torrent in order to get the full MKV.]

Anyone have a good downloadable copy of Dinah East?
The one on rarelust is is based on a cropped bootleg dvd with terrible color and everything.
You can actually stream it for free from filmzie (in reasonable quality) (https://filmzie.com/content/dinah-east-1970), but I'd love to have a local copy. Video DownloadHelper almost works with the site, but the file you get out of it is missing the audio and is full of stutters.

You're welcome! Hopefully more people can enjoy the movie now.

I was able to download it from filmzie using yt-dlp after grabbing the m3u8 url. I haven't watched the whole thing, but it appears to all be there in sync with the audio. It still stutters a little, but that's inherent to the source. For some reason instead of PAL speedup whoever created this master just duplicated every 24th frame. I could probably fix it with avisynth, but that's a problem for another day. Filmzie also says it has subtitles, but I could not figure out how to enable or download them.

It's in this folder, which I might update with other stuff later I dunno (also if I fix the framerate I'll put it in here too):

Also to clarify, you should be able to download the full files from archive.org without using the torrents. There should be a matroska link in the download options, like this:

You're so quick!

I found another video downloader plugin that worked properly with it, but I was still in the middle of merging the video and audio files when I got here lol
