I think I wanna try to keep it all read only to guests (I feel like it being public and searchable is part of the appeal of a forum over a private discord), but I'll think about it. It might be a good call for the nudes threads in the long run (if this place gets a bunch of use and sticks around).

Gonna go look for click to expand image plug-ins now!

Smartdark! idk if phpBB still supports theming, but back in the day smartdark was *the* theme for phpBB forums

I couldn't find one called smart dark, but I installed a small handful of other styles + an extension that makes it easy to switch between styles.

There are a ton of other styles over here if anyone would like to request that I add more.

Oh and I didn't mention it earlier, but I also installed lightbox. Which keeps pics from being overly massive on desktop and lets you click em to expand.

hmmm smartdark was basically just a dark theme for the normal phpBB theme iirc so anything like that would be neat o.o quick reply would be a cool mod too, seemed like that was a pretty common one back in the day x3

Would a retro tech thread do the trick? And if yes then would you rather have it here in off topic or in the video games section? You might also be able to make it yourself (nobody has done it yet, so I'm not sure, but I think it's set so that anyone can start a thread)

That would do nicely. I think off topic would be best, if someone has vintage consoles to show off then they can post them in gaming.

Kate did you put in CloudFlare, or does it come with your site package? I'm getting errors like 4 times out of 10 when I try to load the forum and have to do it a couple of times to get it to work.

Oh weird! It's not happening for me (is anyone else here getting it?), but I do have cloudflare set up (at some point the company hosting the site required that I do it). Not sure what to do about it

I might look into extensions for it later when I get the chance. If you can fit it in a couple short lines tho (like a twitter bio) then you could put it in your signature

back in the day forums let users have custom post styles.

you could set background/font/etc for your own posts and it was absolutely inaccessible but also kinda awesome, tho as a viewer you could always choose whether to enable or disable them globally so it wasn't that big of a deal.

Yeah, I like this idea. Maybe an "Art" area that is divided, one board for hentai, etc that people want to share, and another one for people to share their own art.
